The 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) with the theme of “Global Services, Shared Prosperity” was held in Beijing from September 4 to 9. As the latest development achievement in Beijing’s fintech ecosystem construction, the Beijing Frontier Institute of Regulation and Supervision Technology (FIRST) made its debut.

On September 8, FIRST announced its establishment at the “Beijing FinTech Achievement Release” held during the 2020 CIFTIS. The event was attended by leaders and guests including Wang Zhongmin, Former Vice Chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund of the People’s Republic of China and Advisory Chairman of FIRST; Yang Wei, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Director of the Business Management Department of the People’s Bank of China; Huo Xuewen, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Director General of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision; Li Yan, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision; Guo Yanhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fangshan District Committee, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of Fangshan District People’s Government, and District Mayor; Li Yuxiao, Secretary General of Cyber Security Association of China; and Ben Shenglin, President of FIRST.
