Under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision, the Beijing Frontier Institute of Regulation and Supervision Technology (FIRST) was officially approved to be established in 2021. With the mission of “supporting Beijing in building a globally influential fintech center”, FIRST is dedicated to conducting theoretical research on cutting-edge regulatory technology innovations suited to China’s national context. In 2021, FIRST completed multiple project reports, organized several events, and became active in Beijing’s fintech sector, thus contributing to the development of fintech in Beijing.
