On the morning of March 8, the council meeting of the Beijing Frontier Institute of Regulation and Supervision Technology (FIRST) was held in Beijing. Representatives of the council members attended the meeting. Zhang Jianmei, Deputy Director of the FinTech Division of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision, delivered a speech on behalf of competent business units. Yan Cui, Vice President of FIRST, as well as Liu Yi and Li Yuanqi, Assistants to the President, attended the meeting.

Jiang Nan, Secretary-General of FIRST, reported to the council on the institute’s achievements in 2021 and key planning for 2022. The council member representatives listened to and approved the work report, fully affirming the work of FIRST and making suggestions for its future development direction and work.

According to the meeting, FIRST should first try to implement the research results and transform them into products. Second, it should enhance in-depth cooperation with council member units, explore the potential for industrial cooperation, and leverage the resource advantages of both parties. Third, it should further strengthen brand building to improve its popularity and influence in the fintech sector. Yan Cui expressed his gratitude to the council member units for their support. He stated that FIRST has only been in operation for one year, and all its work is in the initial stage. In the new year, it will be based in Beijing, focus on achievement transformation and publicity, enhance academic research capabilities, integrate geographical advantages with international resources, and continuously boost communication and exchanges with regulatory authorities and competent business units.
