On March 14, 2024, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) released a report titled Her Fintech Edge: Market Insights for Inclusive Growth (hereinafter referred to as “the Report”). The Report argues that fully leveraging the potential of digital financial services (DFS) is crucial to improving women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment. The Report explores the significance of women in fintech investments and influencing factors, examines whether fintech firms are actively designing products and services for female users, and compares the performance of female users with overall investors in terms of loyalty, customer lifetime value, and default rates. The findings of the Report indicate that fintech firms can consciously target female users by analyzing sex-disaggregated data (SDD) and customizing products and services to meet the needs of female users.
