Report Compilation | Women and Minority-Owned Businesses in Regulated Crowdfunding Released by University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business

In March 2024, the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, released the research paper Women and Minority-Owned Businesses in Regulated Crowdfunding (hereinafter referred to as "the Report"). The Paper aims to study the experiences of women and minority-owned businesses participating in Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF), positing that Reg CF, as a dynamic funding mechanism, has provided critical investment support for startups and small businesses during times of economic hardship and demonstrates continued growth potential. The Paper explores the product structure and business characteristics of Reg CF, discusses the business traits of women and minority-owned businesses within Reg CF, investigates gender and racial differences in Reg CF investments, and offers relevant policy recommendations.
